Decorate your Home with Nomad Style
I'm usually very traditional. I like to put up my tree and decorations 12 days before Christmas. This year everyone I know is doing it earlier, me included. Many friends and family have been on lockdown due to Covid in the UK, and it has not only given them something to do against boredom, but also made their homes happier and warmer during these difficult times.
For me, everything revolves around light; twinkling lights on the tree, on the garlands, and candles, candles everywhere. Winter days are short and filling our homes with lights at this time of year is an age-old tradition. Create a magical atmosphere, full of warmth and intimacy.
This week I've been filling my home with lights, candles, green winter foliage, and scents of orange, clove, and cedar. We decorated a crown and a hanging chandelier – don't miss the videos on our YouTube channel and our Instagram stories.
Our reindeer have also been very mischievous this week, but they have found a home in our garden, where they are covered in twinkling lights.
Putting up the tree has always been a party in my family. We drink cava, listen to Christmas songs and turn it into something truly magical. This year is special as it is our first Christmas together as a family in our new home. My son is old enough to enjoy all the traditions and activities and he is super excited. He keeps saying "Merry Christmas" to everyone, wherever we go. I love that my love for Christmas has been passed on to him.
We had so much fun putting up our huge tree and using all the beautiful and unusual decorations from our collection. But I think my favorite space this year has been the entrance and the staircase. We filled it with Christmas cheer with a wreath on the door, mistletoe to kiss that special someone under, garlands and lights on the stairs and a stunning hanging chandelier, I don't think you'll want to take the decorations down in January.

We will share more videos, photos and stories in the coming days from our Christmas home. What plans do you have for this Christmas? How are you going to create your magical home to enjoy with your loved ones? We want to see your ideas, so we invite you to post your photos on social networks with the hashtag #nomadestilochristmas. On December 20th we will choose our favorite photo and send a special prize to the winner.
Best wishes…
